People call me a lot of things, but you can call me Zari or Gravity. Hmmkay?
First things first, you don't need to know how old I am (I still have to wear a uniform that looks like it wanted to be a sailor fuku but couldn't be bothered) or where exactly in New Zealand I come from.
What you do need to know is that I am a teenage girl suffering from both the gross and fine motor types of dyspraxia, also known as Developmental Co-ordination Disorder. My language skills are not lacking (any typos or mis-spellings, blame my fingers for not keeing up with my brain, which is FULL STEAM AHEAD!) but I fall up stairs, trip over my own feet, and can't even brush my teeth without my arm getting sore.
Yeah, so gravity is not my friend. I've learnt to deal. But the reason that I've started this blog because all the resources out there are created by adults, for adults or really technical. Us kids need help too.
Anyway, being dyspraxic years ago is different than now, in such a sport-orientated culture as New Zealand. Kids like me who aren't geniuses or sporty are kinda left to drift.
Don't get me wrong- I'm not gonna angst this whole time. I may be a misfit, but I'm a popular misfit. And i've got plenty of reason to be happy.
So, peace, don't trip over anything, and prove everyone who's ever called stupid and useless wrong.
